Alien Hand Syndrome is a project from Vienna, making Alternative Rock music. The band came with their debut album “The Sincere And The Cryptic” in 2011 and about two years later it is time for a brand new album to see light. “Slumber” is out now.
Dark and moody is how we got to know this project and with this new release you could certainly feel that atmosphere again. As a difference you might have a bit warmer feelings with it, some dark romantic elements come into it which gives the release some more dimension. Piano parts or some string arrangements make the whole captivating. Since the lyrics are not always the lightest subjects and the music presses some extra loads on the shoulders of the listeners it is clear that this album is again a release that you need to give time to let the impact take place. It will come a little easier this time as the refinements make that the whole flows a bit smoother and everything has better connection.
Twelve tracks drag you through dark worlds and moody stories, from “Violent Yellow” that brings you there straight away you’ll have moments that lighten up a bit and moments that go even deeper, but the whole journey is a special one. “Slumber” is a good follow-up album for the debut!
