Covenant is an electronic band formed in 1986 in Helsingborg, Sweden. During all these years they have released eight full-length studio albums. The latest is called “Leaving Babylon”.
This one comes with nine tracks. All tracks are absolutely catchy and easy going. Especially “Prime Movers” gets you in the mood to just lay back and sway along to the music. Just like we know it from Covenant the music is dreamy and gets your mind to drift off. On this album there are a few harsher songs included though. “I Walk Slow” has a high frequent tone in the background that is quite hard on your ears, but except for this tone the song is catchy and includes acoustic elements. “Leaving Babylon” is an album that takes you on a journey far off here and now and yet so close. The album has a total duration of almost sixty minutes. Especially the songs on the second half of the album have a duration of more than six minutes. This new album is a must have for all electro fans and I am sure we will find some of the songs off “Leaving Babylon” at electronic parties and such.
Don’t miss out when Covenant hit your town, they are currently touring and present their new album live on stage. “Leaving Babylon” is out now.
