Artlantica – Across The Seven Seas

Releasedate: 24-05-2013; Label: Steamhammer/SPV
By: Milla Smile

The collaboration of the metal pros named “Artlantica” released their debut album “Across the seven seas” this May.

The album pushed by “2012” opener. Solid and mighty, it crashed all the doubts about what “Artlantica” did and do. All the equipments in “Across the seven seas” make feeling of wallowing across the seven seas. “Ode to my angel” is one for melting girlish hearts. Seriously, the soft almost acoustic track with leading piano and teasing guitars. During refrain “Noone else but you//All I need is you” sharing tear or two is not forbidden. Then galloping track “Fight for the light” created to brave mankind. Put the arms over your head and start to fight! The instrumental track “Return of the Pharaoh, pt. 3” gave a rest for a voice and introduced equipment in its max. By the way, another two parts of song belong to “Angel of Eden” (guitar player Roger Stafffelbach’s band). Some religious motifs in “Heresy” with screaming chorus “Run for your life!” didn’t spoil the impression. The last track “Nightmare life” consists two parts: the first dynamic and the second almost acoustic part accompanied by piano.

Resuming all above, the classy and mighty “Across the seven seas” is waiting for you to be heard.
