Death Wolf is a Swedish formation that is going under this name since 2011. Previously the went under the name Devils Whorehouse. After taking a new direction the band is now coming with their second full length album under this name: “II Black Armoured Death”.
Just as the previous release this band will not bore you easily. It has that playful mix of aggression in which punk and metal blend nicely. It is obviously that the band stayed true with the sound they had on their previous release, but in each track you will find a certain experiment. That results often in strong tracks that together, still have a red thread that unites it. The tempo swings up and down also, the slower tracks are giving you the time to observe the passion put into the vocals, the tensions are building and at the end you expect that climax which the guys let you wait for a bit longer than you hoped for.
“II Black Armoured Death” is an album that brings variety, which makes the album interesting to listen to and will make it one that you listen quite some times. The band knows what they are doing and unites the tracks by their own style which makes this release stand out.
