The Swiss formation Tempesta makes Hard Rock music. The band is founded in 1993 by vocalist Reto Thalmann. The band released a debut called “Platinum” in 2002 and anno 2013 the band comes with a fourth full length album called “Unbounded”.
Hard Rock with Country influences, that’s what the band says about them self. In the first tracks you might have a bit of a Velvet Revolver feeling when listening, but further in the track list you get to see a different side of the band. They have taken good care of variation, that’s to say. The songs are not alike in such a way that there is a template that hits all tracks, but have their unique sides and that speaks for the band. Some are typical Hard Rock, but also a pleasant power ballad may not miss out. “Children of Innocents” is showing a softer side of the band with the right dose of drama in the sound. Then band also included some live versions to the album which is an excellent opportunity to give an impression how their music comes out live and that seems equally pleasant.
Tempesta gives youa decent album that shows them very well. The band does not climb to extremes in their sound but sticks with what works best for them. Not too much of an experiment but obviously they found what suits them well.
