Cable35 are an Alternative Rock band formed in Malta, but currently having their home base in UK. In 2011 the band came with their debut full length album called “Louder” and anno 2013 the band releases a new release called “Fungus”.
This rock trio brings you music with a Punk Rock attitude over it. It has that wild side, the raw edge and sets you to a daring sound in which the band flirts around with different elements but manages to keep control over that. It does not really cross a line and the tracks have a unity in them.
The track “Spinach” pops up as it has a lot of tension building. It goes from calm moments to full energy and back to being calm again which keeps it very interesting. The climax comes in the end, but somehow the track seem to end a bit too soon. That may count for the other tracks also, they are gone before you realize it. It would be interesting to see how far the band can warm you up make you edge and calm it down again to create an immense climax in the end, some more time would not hurt them at all.
Overall “Fungus” is a release that works well, the band captivates you with their balance between the proper sound and the raw edged sound, worth to give it a go.
