The Swedish four-piece rock formation “Frontback” with front(wo)man created in 2002 and made their debut album only this year.
There is no doubt “Born with a secret” is solid work of newbie. Track by ack they show their ability to rock the stage not less imressive than many bands before. The dynamic tracks fight with touching ballads. Too much easy for hard rock, the album has worthy moments. Firstly, the singer holds the guitar I. her arms. The second, personal emotion interpreted in lyrics. Guess what all the lyrics about. Sure, the love, the one and only thing spins the world round and round. Like “medical” tracks “Rock disease” and “Heartattack”. The first one could set you on fire like “this is killing me, I got a, oh, rock disease”, the second started with combination of guitar chords and sound of heart-machine. “Stay away” is obvious key track which shows the power of potential of band and their ambitions. “Running for better days” reminds of running round and scream. “You lie” is touching one with interesting refrain. “All I wanna do” is most impressive because of the sound comes from the lungs and equipments fired in the air. Almost punky last track has left absolutely nothing negative behind the album.
Highly recommend for those who hopes that rock’n’roll will die last. This band must do the helluva gigs with only expression they can get.
