The “superstar” Swedish formation was founded in 1997 and after the best of release “Party ain’t over til I say so” the band announced the ninth full-length album titled “C’mon take on me”. The first single “One more minute” and video for this track presented at January and track “Above the law” and, yes, video – at February. Now twelve tracks are waiting for some attention.
Let get party starts. The intro is about nothing changed by self-titled track with spices of Swedish sleaze (the band plays “street metal”, don’t mind). The hard metal part is “One more minute” with narrative beginning and speedy elements. “Above the Law” is something childish for this band but could be titled “easy commercial anthem” with ideology of “get what you want and take what you want”. Go further to “Are you gonna cry now?” which is a bit mysterious and hard. “Dead Man’s Shoes” track returns us to the times of “Thank you (for letting us be ourselves)” (the third album of the band) with rather soft and melodic conception but it’s still no ballad. Two tracks titled “Won’t Take the Blame” weren’t necessary. It’s still the one song. The last mentioned track is “Too Much Business” with odd beginning and howling guitar solo and sonorous cymbals. The album ended by “Long Time no See” track with echoed refrain “this is not the end”. But thanks, that’s enough.
