The Heartbreaks is a British indie rock band formed in Morecambe, Lancashire in 2009. The band consists of Matthew Whitehouse (vocals, rhythm guitar), Joseph Kondras (drums), Ryan Wallace (lead guitar, backing vocals) and Chris ‘Deaks’ Deakin (bass guitar, backing vocals). A recent description of the band’s sound said: “Bolt-from-the-blue mélanges of Motown’s pop purity, coy vocals and innocent romanticism give The Heartbreaks a charm matched by strong musicianship and a supremely wry take on Punk rock songcraft. Jaded sarcasm, arcane language and rarefied romantic longing compete over stomping Wigan Casino drums, Jangle pop guitars and walls of feedback to create a sound that is part 60’s girl band and C86”.

They have now released their album “Funtimes”. Coming with ten tracks this album is very catchy. All songs are just perfect to be played on the radio as well as in the clubs or at parties. Soft music with a lot of heart is what the Brits created with “Funtimes”. And not only the album title lets you think of a good mood, the music makes you feel it as well. The Heartbreaks really know how to make it fun listening to a brand new album by a pretty new band. Ten songs full of positive vibes and fun bring the sunshine even to the darkest and rainiest days.
