Kant Kino – Father Worked In Industry

Releasedate: 22-02-2013; Label: Alfa Matrix
By: Milla Smile

The two-piece EBM-formation from Oslo (Norway) released their debut album “We are Kant Kino – You are not” in 2010 which met good response from audience and critics. This year the band released the second album titled “Father worked in industry”.

The unbearable ego reminds of what the band is. They are still Kant Kino and you’d be convinced by listening to the opening track. So what exactly this band do. They do classy EBM or the combination of industrial music, electronic dance music and synthesized elements. Most of the tracks might be characterized by hard danceable electronic beats, distorted vocals with reverberation and echo effects and repetitive sequencer lines. But here are some exceptions. Firstly, the electric waltz “Ich Liebe Katarina Witt”. Secondly, the absolutely bombastic and classy industrial dancing track titled “Push Your Buttons”. Thirdly, the low tempo and melodic track “Father Worked In Industry”. And next track would be mentioned is the most dynamic track “Reality. Despite of the fact that both of members are males, you can hear female soprano in some track. For instance, some notes in refrain “My Game”, the main theme in “My Sweetest Crime” and “Just For The Comfort Of Sleep Well”. That’s charming and catching to add the soft spices in the synthetic pot.

If you missed electrotimes of 80’s welcome to the dance floor. Push your buttons!
