Chickenfoot – LV

Releasedate: 10-12-2012; Label: Edel Records
By: Milla Smile

Chickenfoot is a collaboration of epic members (singer Sammy Hagar, guitar player Joe Satriani, bass player Michael Anthony and drummer Chad Smith). The band was founded in 2008. Their second album “III” released in 2011 and formed the tour named “Different Devil” which included several gigs played on the USA land in May/June 2012.

“LV” (I think that’s “Live” meaning) contains only nine tracks, four of them belongs to “III” album and others never been heard. Any live shows mean drive, power and audience’s response. Let see what this live album brought to the world. The record starts with four known tracks. Check the bass and drum line. Good. Check the guitar work. Perfectly. Check the vocal. Unbelievably. Check the audience response. Indescribably. Now a few words about new stuff are going to be said. “Down the drain” is catching pure “I love rock’n’roll” track with necessary for that moment “oh yeah”-s and crazy guitar solos. Next one to be mentioned is “Turnin’ left” with back vocals high as hell and guitar that cut the air again and drumsticks flied over drums. Killer track “Oh yeah” just blows mind with nostalgia of 80’s. “Learning to fall” is solid and touching ballad. Share one tear, please. It’s a worthy end of the album and the gig.

Attention. Don’t miss the album or don’t forget to schedule live show of this band.
