Dynamic Syndicate – Noises

Releasedate: 26-10-2012; Label: Echozone
By: Sabine van Gameren

Dynamic Syndicate is a German electro break rock band, consisting of Sascha Schneider and Alex Riedl. The music the make is a mix of electronic sounds, broken beats and heavy metal guitar according themselves. The guys started this project in 2009 and this year they are releasing their debut full length album “Noises” via Echozone.

Inspiration from bands like The Prodigy are clearly present. Yet, it is safe to say that the guys decided to give it their own twist. The album starts fairly calm, meaning that the band slowly works to the heavier material rather than start it up right from the start, a logical choice but the first tracks might miss a little of that spice that comes in later. The danger in that is that people may easily put it aside before the core of it comes out. The break beats are a major part in that and they surely make the band what they are. Here and there the band has some moments that make you wonder if that is what fits int his sound, some oddities found in maybe a solo, some riffs… a bit like an attempt to be something really different. No, not needed at all! Overall these men made a pleasant album, sure some points to reconsider for the next time, but they show they are having some clear idea about their sound and like to experiment with that.
