!distain – 20th Anniversary

!Distain is a German electro pop formation that has been started in 1992. Their work so far contains six studio-records, one remix-album and their 2cd “Anthology 1992-2010”. Since 2012 is their 20th anniversary the band decided they would release a live DVD.

If you don’t know the band the DVD might be a strange one to start with, but one thing is clear, you can see what the band does during their live performances. The band has a calm show that works with intensity. During the show you see the audience dancing and enjoying the show. The set is quite diverse, showing the band can go from more simple songs like “The 6th Floor” to tracks that are moving you more. What is most remarkable is that you can clearly see that during the set the audience gets more into it and starts to feel the music as if it comes from within.
Besides the live performance, which is recorded in Cologne (Germany), the band has also included a couple of promotional video’s and some extra’s, like a making of “Mein Weg” and some footage from the studio. It is a true collector’s item for the long-time fans and gives a good image of what this band is about.
