T.A.N.K is a French formation that makes Melodic Death/ Thrash Metal. The band formed back in 2007 and released their debut album in 2010. This year the band returns to present their second full length release called: “Spasms of Upheaval”.
Musically you will come to the conclusion that this band will not bring you something you have not heard before. Stereotypical riffs, maybe a bit of Progressive into it here and there are never really innovative. Yet the band is not letting you go with something simplistic. The tracks are clearly well thought. Vocals are brought by grunts, occasionally some clean lines but those remain a minority. As a band of reference you might think of a band like Soilwork although here the focus is more on the heavier parts vocal wise.
What is remarkable is that the guys have created a break into their album with the seventh track “Slumber”. Time to let it all come to you before the band goes on with what they have been doing before. That however is maybe the largest trap that the guys might walk into. The album is filled with quite similar tracks, the variation is marginal which will cause that not everyone keeps their interest until the end.
