Swedish Death Metal formation Grave is one that you basically have to know when you are into Death Metal. Formed in 1988 they created themselves a reputation by various releases and live shows. Full length album number ten is ready to be released and it is called: “Endless Procession of Souls”.
What to say about a band which reputation is so strong, that it is hardly able to break it. Not as its needed to do so, “Endless Procession of Souls” is exactly what you may expect from this band. Raw, pure Death Metal without too much shine and innovation. This band knows their strength that brought them at this point and sticks with that, simply giving everyone what they expect. Minutes and minutes of thick sounds, not to break through, it goes on and on. Guitars bringing the tempo up and bass that gives it even more vehemence. Ola Lingren growls his voice over it and yet the whole gets even more filthy.
Good, if you need to say something of it, it may be that Grave does not surprise us anymore. In this case you could see that as a good thing, making them a band you can blindly trust on for giving you a great dose of Death.
