The Swedish four-pieces rock formation “Dead Lord” released their first 7″ single “No Prayers Can Help You Now” this year.

Let see what kind of sorcery, uh, surprises from Sweden supposed to be this time. The single includes only two tracks: “No Prayers Can Help You Now” and “Onkalo”. Less than nine minutes long. There is no death metal as the naming of the band provides to thinking of. Ironically, the both tracks are nothing but rewriting “Thin Lizzy” material. Anyway whatever didn’t kill us makes us stronger or stranger so whatever we haven’t heard there is a chance for remembering good stuff. Okay, some words about tracks in itself. The raw riffs, growl vocals and “the seventies” atmosphere. The first track as similar as the second. But the self-titled track is a quite more interesting in its concept and has some technical and emotional advantage. There is no thunder nor lighting but anyway.

If you “Thin Lizzy” fan, don’t be lazy to check the single out. Well, would be there the entire album or it’s just the failed attempt to be the next sensation. Only record company knows.
