The Swedish formation Diablo Swing Orchestra has shaken up the musical world with their extraordinary mix of music. The “swing” in their name is there for a reason. “Pandora’s Pinata” is their third full length album and it is out now.
This band is a party every time you hear it, so as soon as you hear this album you know they lived up to that once again. In the heat of the summer you can imagine yourself partying, The mood to start dancing comes in and Diablo Swing Orchestra sets off. Their music is diverse and full with surprising elements but different than before they kept moderation in it. In this album you never have the feeling that it goes over the top and maybe surely works out in their advance. They play with temptation and the game of flirting. From all what comes with it, the pleasure, the game itself, the drama and all other emotions. The drama that vocalist Annlouice Loegdlund is able to put in with her opera sound does not only come to its highlight in the bombastic tracks of their own, but also in the opera track ”Aurora” she shows off her skills while the tempo that the band usually has is dropped a little. An obscure addition to the album it is, meant in a positive way. The animated voice that comes from Daniel Håkansson brings in a comfortable sound and yet a bit of a comedy in some way.
Diablo Swing Orchestra is an unique band, every single album again but “Pandora’s Pinata” is just overruling all you have heard before!
