Mollo / Martin – The Third Cage

This project is collaboration of music veterans: guitarist Dario Mollo (“Crossbones”, “Electric Zoo”, “Noize Machine”, “Voodoo Hill”) and singer Tony Martin (“Black Sabbath”). Since release of their two previous albums it’s been a whole decade for now. The third piece of skill was named nothing but “The third cage” (guess what were another two? Yes, “The cage” and “The cage 2”).

Well, for everyone who still lives between late 80’s and early 90’s the album would be liquor for their ears. “The third cage” contains two different types of songs: dark and bright. The tracks with low basses, drilling guitars and almost hysterical voice accorded to the first, dark, list could be mentioned So there are opening track “Wicked world”, “Cirque du freak” and “Wardance” as well.. To the “bright” we might accord tracks about. That makes the songs touching for the girls’ hearts. “Don’t know what it is about you” probably could be the sound track for the romantic movies with happy-ending. “Still in love with you” with some eastern motifs is flawless track for the stadiums. “Oh my soul” is the much soulful and mild track how absurd that would seem. The most attractive thing in the entire albums is powerful chorus if it commands “right now!” or whispers “feel alive”.

Nobody knows is there a chance for the forth “Cage” for now. Three previous things were great, weren’t they?
