Your Tomorrow Alone is a Progressive/Doom formation from Italy. They formed in 2009 and now come with the debut release “Ordinary Lives”.
A debut album it is, but you may certainly amazed when you hear what these guys have to offer for you. Melancholic, doom atmospheres surrounded by this progressive environment they set. Match it with the great ones in the genre, Paradise Lost, Anathema etc. To come to a more surprising match you could mention the Finnish band The Man-Eating Tree especially if you see how this band works with the clean vocals.
The sound of them may be lacking a little more adventurous side perhaps, the band is having a strong idea of how they want to bring it and maybe a little experimenting would have spiced it up a little, but this is just a minor detail. They set a strong instrumental base with the guitars and the keys together on the lead, setting a nice backing for the vocals. The growling voice is one you may have to get used to here, it could have been deeper which would highlight the doom even more, but now it is kept more open. “Ordinary Lives” is a gorgeous release of a bunch of Italians that may reach larger audiences sooner or later!
