Blowsight is a band from Sweden. The guys make Melodic Metal and have released two albums so far. “Shed Evil” is their latest EP.
Blowsight makes catchy music, Metal/Rock that is easy to pick up and sing along. See it as Shinedown with some more heaviness. The lyrics maybe a bit cheesy, you feel addressed in a way a teenage rock band would do. You might imagine the band has a young fan base that follows them quite intensive. Apart from the band’s catchiness they set you down with a steady instrumental backing. Heavy guitars and a thick bass are quite upfront. The drums are a little more in the back of the mix though. Occasional they add some raw vocals to their sound which suits quite well. Brings it a bit into a Soilwork atmosphere.
Blowsight is a band that you might imagine doing well on a large stage. Perhaps some would call it a bit commercial music, but the music seems to be beyond that though. As long as you go into it knowing it won’t be aggressive metal but mainly a feel good sound with a heavy touch. “Shed Evil” gives a good image of what you can expect from these guys.
