The Doom/Death metal band Black Sun Aeon comes back with a third album. It is called “Blacklight Deliverance”.
It looks only so recent, that we got the second album of this Finnish formation to review, or perhaps that comes because it still gets played very often. Tuomas Saukkonen is the man behind this project and as always he surrounded himself with a bunch of talented artists. Just as the previous release Mikko Heikkilä and Janica Lönn supply vocals. Janica is more present than before and the whole outcome seems a bit more softer than on “Routa” The winter and ice are there, but with a little melancholy it becomes a little more accessible. “Blacklight Deliverance” has that dreamy edge, see yourself listening to it in your comfy chair right next to the fire with a cup of hot chocolate while outside the climate is giving you nothing but white and darkness. Musically, there is no doubt about it. You get exactly what you may expect, Tuomas does not really have to prove himself anymore after the various releases in his projects. “Blacklight Deliverance” is simply a gorgeous romantic Doom release that will finds is way to the fans easily.
