Neuroma is a British formation making Death Metal. They started in 2006 under another name, but changed to Neuroma a year later. Three small releases were made before their debut full length album “Extromophile” got released.
The band got described as Technical Death Metal and that is a decent description for what you get. The tempo is there, the guys seem to know what they want and this results in a solid release in which they show of some groove that simply works quite well. A little humour is included, simply read the song titles to understand where the guys come from on this. The band likes to play around a bit with what you hear, some break downs are spicing it up. Listen to “Chicken Poodle Soup” for that. Also nice are the drums being in a quite well though place in their sound. With the vehemence that is into it the band is really keeping the listener until the end of the album. A little remark on it all may be that there is not one song that stands out a little more than the others, that one song that marks them and the listener will remember them from, but furthermore it is a strong release.
