The finnish band (if says it correctly – a little orchestra) was founded in late 80s. During more than 20 years they have a lot of concerts including massive performances with the Red Army Choir and classical orchestras. The visit card of the band is their hairstyle, pointed shoes and rock-cover-version of the most popular songs all around the world. For example, “What is love” by Haddaway or soviet song “Those were the days”.
What’s common between Mexico and Siberia? Leave the official answer to politics and economists. Leningrad Cowboys has another answer – the open-hearted people and neverending fun. “Buena Vodka Social Club” is the best proof of it.
The whole album sounds like just a one song with “balalaika riffs”, “horns of good cheer” and “chorus that you should necessary join”. But there are few exception, “Buena Vodka Social Club” and “Mule” tracks sound like a good classic rock’n’roll ballads. The decision to combine many music genres in one album is pretty good for showing how many-sided rock’n’roll can be. There are no doubt this album could be great perform on any stage ever consist wherever this place situated on the globe.
In other words, if you wanna have fun, this band knows how to drink.
