The Dangerous Summer is an Indie / Rock band from Ellicott City, Maryland. The band formed in the summer of 2006 to write their first EP “There Is No Such Thing as Science” which drew the attention of Hopeless Records and other labels in 2007. They signed with Hopeless Records within 8 months (in April 2007) of starting the band during their senior year of high school. They then re-released their debut EP under the new name “If You Could Only Keep Me Alive” with new songs included. Now they released a new full length album, called “War Paint”.
The new Dangerous Summer album “War Paint” shows a picture of a city in vintage colors on the cover. The entire layout looks quite old school and retro. Like the cover of a 70’s movie. The music is not retro at all though. “War Paint” includes eleven tracks full of catchy surf rock or surf punk. The album is spreading sun shine and good mood, Dangerous Summer rocks through “War Paint” and through the summer. The lyrics are taken out of daily life so everyone can relate to them eleven songs on the new album. A beautiful piece of rock Dangerous Summer provided for us here. Go out and get it!
