Enfant terrible Iwrestledabearonce seemed to be that band you either love or hate. Their music started a discussion when their album “It’s All Happening” came out in 2009. This year the band returned with a new full length release “Ruining It For Everyone”.

Vocalist Krysta Cameron is known for the diversity she can pull up with the voice. The typical core style as well as the sweet poppy voice towards the dreamy sound of Björk. This returns in this release, but now done full confidence as if it wasn’t like that before. It sounds like there was not anymore hesitation at all and they brought it exactly like they wanted it, careless the ongoing discussion about their sound. It is obvious that they do not go for simplicity but take some comprehensive riffs and structures and this has surely evolved in “Ruining It For Everyone”. The band had the joke going on that this release would be Black Metal but this was just too fool the people as they are not that far away from what they did before. Just all progressed and taking it a step further. This even more in the advance of Krysta which has plenty of space to show what an incredible voice she has and that she can handle two different styles and switch between these in a split second. Good… this chaos, the breakdowns, the outburst of melodic parts and the power of it all may come as a bit too much at first, but this is album you need to listen some more and give it some time if you are not into it at first. Great release from this band, seems like they never get boring.
