Hornet is a Rock and Roll formation from London, UK. They recently released a selftitled EP.
Rock and Roll all in, it is said in their info that the band is up for a great live experience, playing sold out shows in the cosy clubs in UK. This comes quite forward when listening this release, it is probably a band that bring its essence best live, but yet in this release you get to know the guys quite well. Raw rock and roll vocals, a little bluesy edge here and there, obvious influences of the biggest names in the genre but still a little Hornet in there as well.
The three tracks of the EP are quite in line with each other, not too much variance is in them, but it sets you quite to what the guys are up too. Besides that the whole isn’t too original, which they probably do not aim for anyway, it comes with good riffs, the raw vocals and all the other on a decent level. Perfect as an extension on your collection. If Hornet wants to get big they should probably give their sound a little more of an own face though.
