Deviant Syndrome is a few Russian band playing Melodic Death Metal. The band started in 2005 and “Inflicted Deviations” is the band’s debut full length release.
What stands out in this album is what comes clear from the very first song; the combination of a technical riff part with strong vocals in good melodies. Here and there the band breaks out with a solo within a song and these parts are all taking your attention. Not bad considering this is just the first release from their hand. Obviously the guys have their skills and talent to experiment with and make a package of good songs.
Some of it reminded me of the oldest albums of Children of Bodom and this may bring the point to say that the guys have no clean vocals used in their sound, what plenty of other Melodic Death metal bands bring in. Also a great point is they found themselves in variations. The songs are not too alike and this keeps you interested throughout the album.
In the end there is simply not much more to say than this being an album that is much recommended. It is only their debut and it convinced us to keep an eye on these guys, who knows where they grow into!
