Dripback are the all-stars of the London underground scene. Currently the band released their debut EP “Inhaling The Ashes”.
The Death Metal guys are clearly not the ones who prefer long songs, makes sense when I tell you some grind core influences come with them as well. The band goes deep with their sound, low grunts, screams and as soon as you become aware of these blast beat drums that are in there you are left in awe with some more melodic pieces. Yes, the band has its strong face set rather fast, but that image will stick with you for a while as the songs seem to be quite alike. Yet, when the band plays around with some variation in the songs the band may bring a surprising full length. The EP is rather short, which may be a bit of a point to break on, but the quality of the band is interesting enough to keep this name in mind. “Inhaling The Ashes” has given you the start of a band that is searching for their ultimate style and was too impatient to wait with releasing material until they found what they are looking for. It might be surprising to see what is coming, just because of that.
