Harm is a Norwegian Thrash Metal formation which started in 1997. The band have not released much material, “Demonic Alliance” is their second release.
The band’s debut dates back to 2006 and it has been quiet around them since. They bring Thrash, very recognizable, but somehow they seem to give a little bit of their own to it. This hearable in several places in the album, but mainly the riffs are elaborated enough when needed. Quite remarkable is the place the bass gets in the sound. Quite upfront, brings a nice twist to the sound as well. Harm is not a band that invents a new sort of wheel, but why worry for getting a new one while the current works well and with a little variation still looks authentic enough? What comes with listening to “Demonic Alliance” is the urge to see this band live. You can imagine the band will bring a good live show with several songs on the album that people will pick up easily and get them into the right mood to party Thrash along.
Overall is maybe not the most original album, but Harm made it quite pleasantly their own. It is one that Thrash fans will enjoy to have and play it quite a few times.
