Person X has its base in Bristol, UK. What can be expected is an electronic environment tending towards industrial. “Electronic Civil Disobedience” is out now.
With a spacey sound the album starts, immediately reminding me of the industrial formation Velcra, on its instrumental part. Take their “Hadal” album and you get close to what you can expect on this album. Person X takes you into a bit of dream world as seems where many may not know what will be appropriated to do. Is it to listen and enjoy or would you like to dance on it, perhaps it is the challenge to find your own way to deal with the intensity as it seems to be personally directed to the listener. This listener is someone with an open mind, not afraid of some oddities and willing to surrender to the mood swings coming within the electronic atmospheres. Some may miss the addition of vocals in this album, but for the sound itself it is not really needed as the sound is quite full of itself. Perhaps in accessibility it would improve but “Electronic Civil Disobedience” is mainly an album to enjoy on a different level. If you feel for some electronic soundscape this one is for you.
