Tremors is a German formation that started in 1994. The band makes Metal and their album “Frozen Shores” is out now.
The band seems to prefer mixing and blending some different genres, but the question is if this makes it something of their own? Not exactly because in the end it is still a bit of a mystery what Tremors wants to bring exactly. It comes quite easy, not too comprehensive but on other parts they try to get into that direction as if they try to get that technical listener in the pocket as well. Searching for a crowed, shopping around, it may work if the overall brings something unique but Tremors did not succeed in capturing the attention much longer than the album takes. Overall the album comes with quite mixed feelings. It as if these songs have been collected over quite some time as they tend to be quite different and maybe not related but the album comes with positive points as well. It has some nice melodic edge, mainly the keys that make most of the songs individually interesting to listen. It is just that you constantly get the feeling that Tremors did not get the maximum out of themselves and there is so much more they could have given this album. Perhaps it is kept for future, let’s hope for that.
