Watts is a Rock and Roll band from USA. The band released their album “On The Dial” at the end of 2010.
The cover of the album already gives you quite an idea of where you are going to fall into. It’s all rock and roll music as if time stood still since the high end days of it. Find a little inspiration flow coming from the rebels of The Rolling Stones, The faces and everything else that was hot in that era. Maybe this underlines the fact that the band is not bringing the most renewing sound, but a trip back to the past is certainly one you want to take in company of these guys. Vocalist Dan Kopko gives a nice confidential sound, but he is not the only vocalist as John Blout, Craig Lapointe and Johnny Lynch let themselves be heard in some songs as well. A little remark to make on this release might be that all the songs are quite in one line and seem quite alike. A critical listener hopes for a couple of songs that sparkle a little more, those you release on single and become the trademark of the band. Retro is hot nowadays and so come there is quite a market for a band like Watts. They have the musical capabilities to entertain people and perhaps with a little variation even get more out of their music than what they do now. “On The Dial” works perfectly though.
