Holy Ghost! (DFA) are born and bred New Yorkers Alex Frankel and Nick Millhiser. The two disco and hot sauce enthusiasts met in elementary school and have been playing in bands together ever since. Holy Ghost! might not yet have a Wikipedia page, but they do have Michael McDonald on their debut album. The Brooklyn-based duo has now released the self-titled record.
Holy Ghost chose ten tracks for their debut album. All sounding like indie electro pop music. On the edge of being club music Holy Ghost reminds a little of 80s synthie pop music with those catchy melodies and samplers in the background. All ten tracks definitely get you going along. A little spacey Holy Ghost is floating somewhere in between 80s synthie pop music and futuristic electro pop, somewhere out of time and out of space. This ten track self-titled debut album has a fresh and new sound. Holy Ghost is one of those bands that you will recognize by their style even if you don’t know the song itself. The music is spreading a good mood and causes fun time. If you have an urge for new and fresh music, Holy Ghost is definitely one of the records you should get then!
