A-ha was a New Wave/Synthpop band from Norway. The band was founded in 1982 by Morten Harket (vocals), Magne Furuholmen (keyboards), and Pål Waaktaar (guitars). The group initially rose to fame during the mid 1980s after being discovered by musician and producer John Ratcliff and had continued global success in the 1990s and 2000s.
Their last four shows at Spektrum in Oslo were sold out within hours. Many fans did not get the chance to go see it. But now they can. A-ha has released the final show on DVD to bring the goodbye atmosphere that was present at Spektrum also into your living room. And for the ones who were at the final shows – like me – for us it is a wonderful memory of a more than amazing concert! You can hear the audience almost louder than the music itself. The cheering and singing along of all the fans was immense and added a very emotional touch to the entire event – as if the farewell show itself wasn’t emotional enough already. You can hear the band talking and thanking their fans in between the songs. The sound is clear and the light was bright. A simply amazingly epic farewell show that you can now watch and listen to over and over again. A-ha played all their hits, old and new, at this show that was lasting for more than two hours. Simply amazing and a must have for all a-ha fans! But not for them only. So go get “Ending On A High Note”.
