Frankie & The Heart is a five-band from Sunderland, Northeast United Kingdom. The first single “Hunger / Fragile” was released in early 2010. This is their debut album “Hunger”.
With ten brand new tracks Frankie and The Heartstrings introduce their music to the world. When pressing play on the album, which is called “Hunger”, funky pop rock begins spreading a good mood and turns the time listening into a fun time. Frankie and The Heartstrings use country elements in a very refreshing way that makes their music special. The groovy music on “Hunger” definitely gets you going along. The cover of the album is very interesting to look at and think about. It leaves room for your own interpretation, therefore I will not further comment on it. It is not a cover I had expected for an album like this though, at least not at first thought. Old meets new is a concept of Frankie and The Heartstrings they pull through not only with their cover but also with their music: Old school music as we know it from “Grease” meets fresh and new inspiration in music. Frankie and The Heartstrings definitely caused hunger in the listener: hunger for more. Enjoy the brand new debut album of Frankie and The Heartstrings!
