IAMX is the solo musical project of Chris Corner, formerly of the Sneaker Pimps. The lyrics are primarily concerned with subjects such as sex, death, emotions, narcotic intoxication, decadence, religion, alienation and allusions to politics. Corner currently lives in Berlin, where he has found “the spirit to care less about the music industry and take an independent route.”

The sixth album “Volantile Times” is released now. Fans have curiously awaited this one and now it is here. It takes quite many listens to figure it out completely. But that is common for IAMX and exactly what makes the music so interesting. The album has somewhat of a circus character melody wise. “Music People” speeds up in the end. By getting that fast it somehow pushes adrenaline through your veins. The album “Volatile Times” is generally mellow though. The melodies, as odd as they are, get stuck in your head easily. The lyrics are interesting to listen to and make you think about it. They are very deep and not as they seem at first sight. IAMX has made it again. An extremely interesting album that gets you hooked. There is a lot to explore on the new album, so get it now and put it on endless replay. You won’t regret it.
