The Blue Van is a Danish band making Alternative Rock music. The band currently releases their fourth album called: “Love Shot”.
Only about a year after “Man Up” got spread over Europe, the band comes back with a new release. This time with a new sound according themselves. The guys seem a little promiscuous anyway, hooking up with a lot of different genres. Well it did quite good for the guys as they present us an album that seems way more catchy. Seems like the guys stepped in their time capsule and left the past taking a lot of souvenirs on their way to 2011. “Run To The Sun” has Alphaville-like keys included, while some 80’s sleaze is picked up as well. Give it a sexy edge that it needed, sexy as INXS with a bit of White Stripes, but mainly a new version of The Blue Van. A lot things may sound recognizable but that makes it easy to listen to and perfect for listening, the songs are varied and go from calm to intense into the party mode.
Were we quite neutral about “Man Up”, it is “Love Shot” that got us over. The Blue Van made a gorgeous album, perfect with all an album needs to have.
