Patrick Henry “Pat” Travers (born April 12, 1954) is a Canadian rock guitarist, keyboardist and singer who began his recording career with Polydor Records in the mid-1970s. Pat Thrall, Nicko McBrain, Mick Dyche, Tommy Aldridge, Peter “Mars” Cowling, Jerry Riggs, and Carmine Appice are some of the noted musicians who have been members of the Pat Travers Band through the years. Kirk Hammett of Metallica has cited him as one of his favorite guitar players.
After many releases they now decided to re-release live recordings from 1990, called “Boom Boom Live At The Diamond Toronto 1990”. Fourteen tracks are on this album. You can hear that the recordings are more than 20 years old. The sound has something nostalgic and special, creating a certain atmosphere that brings back memories from back then. You can hear cheering from the audience as well as Pat talking in between the songs. Also can you hear the backing vocalists backing up the strong vocals of Pat Travers as well as some great guitar solos. True rock’n’roll music captured live. “Boom Boom Live At The Diamond Toronto 1990“ is a wonderful nostalgic live album. A must have for all fans of 80s rock music!
