Mysore – When All Shall Perish

Releasedate: 2010
By: Sabine van Gameren

Mysore is a Finnish Metal band. The guys started in 2010 and “When All Shall Perish came out that same year.

Aware, aware! Catchy Metal on your way. Mysore has a nice, commercial sound made by the combination of melody and yet some aggressive vocals and steady guitars. The focus goes mainly to the vocals though, which comes with in clean shape and easy to pick up. The second song on this EP called “One Life” is a typical feel good song. Lyrics telling you to believe in yourself will always fall good with a certain crowd. This may be the strongest song on the EP when looking it commercially. This brings to the point that fans of the more aggressive metal won’t find themselves content with this music. It ain’t the sort of music that you have not heard before but the Finns bring it in a good way. They have good compositions on this release and it may open some doors for them. It is not unthinking that these guys find quite an international crowd. This disc gives a good view on what the band does and shows a good variation of what they are capable off. Definitely a release that makes us enthusiastic. Keep your eyes on this band!
