Ageless Oblivion is a British band that makes Death Metal. It is the band debut release.
Ageless Oblivion has quite a technical approach, but never makes it up to the level to be next to any major names. Lacking mostly in originality you get the bored with the album soon enough. In each instrument you hear something familiar and if you put it all together it does not exactly make it top of the bill. What leaves you up with a dose of aggression that may get you awake and feel the rage. Also, within the album there is not that much variety. The songs have quite a lot in common, as if they have been made from the same template. Perhaps the only exception on it, is the almost 14 minute lasting closing track which seemed to step it back a bit and let the album end quite peacefully compared to the brutalism that was all over this release.
The guys can play, their skills are not on stake in here but what is missing is a bit more of originality. The band have not made an impression with it or gave their own touch to the sound, which makes this album easy to forget about. Such a pity, because they could have made more out of it.
