Polish band Non Opus Dei makes Black Metal since 1997. The band have released quite a few albums since and “Eternal Circle” is the sixth full length.
This band had been known for meeting boundaries before so expectations for this album are certainly set. The guys got a speedy start of “Eternal Circle”. The first song is in Polish, but there are also English songs on this release. Whether you have a preference for either Polish or English is all a personal item, but in fact it does not really matter as the vocals come with enough power and set quite a point for just being there without understanding the lyrics. The band keeps that high tempo up throughout the whole record, keeping a blast there for a steady base and some more comprehensive parts get a different backing when guitars go more on the melodic tour. What is a positive point is that non of their songs sounds like something that has been done a million times already but always sticks a piece of the typical Non Opus Dei in it.
A steady release of these Polish metallers, worth trying for Black Metal fans. “Eternal Circle” is an album that will be kept playing for a while, it doesn’t bore easily.
