Molly Hatchet is back with a new release. Their thirteenth to be exact. The latest release of the Americans is called: “Justice”.
Molly Hatchet is known for their feel good rock. Not necessarily because of all the positivity that is in their music, but for the easy going rock sound. The men play Southern rock, with blues, rock n roll and a little bit of country in it. This band has always stayed on the same path and so they did with “Justice”. It is not all positivity, it is about live. The good sides and the less positive parts. The band is not preaching about doom all the time, but does not cover up anything either.
The songs on “Justice” are quite easy to remember. They have the confidential feeling of something you know already. Don’t expect a new form of the wheel of these rockers, but just another one in line of production. You can never have enough of them, with the summer coming up this album will do great for the atmosphere and besides that, “Justice” does not really get boring. The album has enough variation in it to keep your attention. As highlight there is the third song “Deep Water” to mention which has a gorgeous intro. Unfortunately the middle part of the song is a bit flat, lacking of fire, but the end is just as nice as it started.
“Justice” is an album you want to have this summer. Envy the good times on the festival campings you will have while listening Molly Hatchet.
