Formed on Hallow’s Eve 2002 after a few successful years as the MISFITS Coverband Ghouls, The Other has often been labeled “Europe’s most popular Horrorpunk-Band” by the press. The Other played shows and tours with bands like Bela B (of “Die Ärzte”), The Cult, MISFITS, The Damned, Jennifer Rostock, Balzac, Blitzkid, D.R.I., The 69 Eyes, Wednesday 13, Cinema Strange, Meteors, Mad Sin, The Addicts, Real McKenzies, Frank The Baptist, etc. and appeared at countless festivals like Wave Gotik Treffen, Mera Luna, Amphi, Wacken Open Air, Force Attack, Ruhrpott Rodeo, etc., and was featured in magazines all over the world. The Debut-Album “They’re alive“ was released in 2004 on Fiendforce Rec./Cargo Music, followed by the critically acclaimed “We Are Who We Eat” in 2006. The Other’s first comic-book “Tales of The Other” was published by Weissblech Comics in 2007. The band’s third album “The Place To Bleed” was released on April 25th 2008 worldwide. The Other is now signed to Steamhammer/SPV worldwide. Their new album “New Blood” is released now.

The intro of the album sounds like music Tim Burton would use in a Horror movie. Catchy and rocking the album continues and keeps you going along till the end of it all. With awesome Horrorpunk music combined with great vocals The Other insert the “New Blood” not only in your veins but also let it circulate in your brains and leave it being stuck there. Again you can find a German song on this album. All the other songs are in English though. “The Lovesick Mind” is an outstanding track with a lot of emotions and my personal favorite. But that does not mean that the other songs are less impressive. Just check it out for yourself and rock with the Horrorpunk band of the 21st century: The Other!
