Hot Water Music is a post-hardcore band from Gainesville, Florida. The members of the band are Chuck Ragan, Chris Wollard, Jason Black, and George Rebelo. Hot Water Music first formed in 1993. In 1998, after releasing multiple EPs and three full-length albums, the band briefly disbanded, but soon reformed, announcing their continuation as Hot Water Music at the concert recorded for “Live at the Hardback”.
Now the band has a brand new album out. It is called “Light It Up” and comes with twelve songs. The songs are fast and rhythmic. Each one is carrying its own tune, telling its own story. With honest lyrics, Chuck Ragan is telling you stories that dig deep. Stories, you might be able to relate to, and stories you cannot hide from. The edgy voice is adding some tragedy to the songs, some depth and intensity.
Hot Water Music created an album that will make you feel, think and sigh. “Light It Up” is an album about life, its struggles and how to keep going. And all that with and edgy sound that demands for some beers and maybe some friends. So grab them and press play on “Light It Up”.
