Kieran Hebden is an English electro music composer. After his work with Fridge, he decided to go forth on his solo career under the name of Four Tet.

Not being a huge electro/techno music fan, I didn’t expect this album to have such an impact on me. The aspect on which Four Tet focuses the most is the balance found between repetition and change. The melodies of the songs in fact are all repeated several times during the elapse of those, but still you always find something new and enjoyable to listen to which could be the simple sound of an acoustic guitar or a far singing. All these little elements contribute in carrying the listener away through a music that seems made to sound the sharpest possible. The atmosphere brought by the album is slightly described on the cover of it: listening to “There is Love In You” the picture that might come to your mind is an extremely colourful but still very delicate one; the colours don’t hit you immediately, their delicacy slowly wraps you and so does the music. Song by song you have the chance to immerge in this Four Tet world made of different colours sprinkles that will easily draw your attention, at least a bit.
