Fatso Jetson formed in the wee hours of 1994 after Tony Tornay, and cousins Mario and Larry Lalli spent way too much time together playing pool, drinking shitty beer and watching TV in the after hours at Mario and Larrys nightclub, Rhythm & Brews. They decided that since they already played the appropriate instruments, that their time would be better spent playing music instead of eternally making double-or-nothing bets on a crummy pool table and watching History Channel documentaries.
The brand new album “Idle Hands” by Fatso Jetson comes with eleven songs. The rhythms and melodies on this album are easy going and will easily get you going along. Smooth and steady, the music is marching forward. The lyrics on the album are interesting and somehow special. Sometimes they even make you wonder. Some songs go halfway through without any lyrics, and even once the lyrics set in, they stay rare.
This new Fatso Jetson album “Idle Hands” sure is an interesting piece. The music is easy and yet unique. The lyrics are sometimes even a little strange. But “Idle Hands” has its own spirit and sound. One you should check out. So wherever you come across this Fatso Jetson release, check it out.
