Nemesea has been around for about 10 years. The Dutch formation left the Metal scene behind and focusses more on bringing Rock songs. Their album “Uprise” is out now.
The whole ‘theme’ isn’t out of it, have a look at the cover and you know there is still a connection. The songs self all seem to have an empowering message, to get stronger and take control. The band took their time to bring all qualities come out a bit better. In a way, the band does sound more complete, more like a team rather than people put up themselves in a spotlight whenever their turn is. So the band certainly grew into that aspect.
A bit of a catchy side the band has, most memorable being the track “Bones” which towards to the end gives the keys a bit more of a stage. One you could easily see ending in the charts.
As a whole it must be said that with “Uprise” you get an album that is not much of an unique thing in the world of music. But the band seems not to be aiming for that anyway, the album is easy listening and has enough power in it to not only find an audience in the pop sector, but will still keep the fans of the heavier material on board.
