French Death/Thrash formation T.A.N.K started in 2007 under this name. Their name stands for Think of a New Kind. This year the band comes with album number three called: “Symbiosis”.
The French guys are making Melodic Death sounds that may remind you of Soilwork. It is no surprise to see them having Björn Speed himself being featured in one of the songs. Sounds a lot like something we wrote on earlier? Yes, the German Dieveristy had something that sounds a lot like the above description, but there is a major difference between these acts her. The French guys have refrained from being a copy and brought their own sound into it. Some more groove, Thrash and heaviness, an add that suits the band well. The guys have created a diverse track list in which they show different sides of them. “Drawing Hope” is instrumental and shows they can play with tensions and build up to a great song where a song like
“The Edge of Time”, which closes the album, is a more catchy song. One that sticks in mind. But maybe if you look at what summarizes this release most you come back to the title track, which makes it a good and logical namesake. An excellent release that you will play plenty of times.
