Down Below is from Dessau, Germany and was founded in 2003. The German gothic rock band has now released a new full length studio album with the title “Zur Sonne – Zur Freiheit”.
This is their fifth album. The new release comes with twelve tracks with a total duration of forty-five minutes. All songs are in German. The first track “Ketu” is an intro. The music on this album is quite slow and tragic. All lyrics are sad, talking about heartache, pain and sorrow. Some songs include some spoken samples out of radio, TV or such. One song even includes a female guest singer. The soft voice of the singer and soft melodies get you swaying along. The music lets your mind drift off and think of difficult times. The songs have a smooth transition so you will not even recognize that a different song has already started. Due to this the album goes by without you noticing it. “Zur Sonne – Zur Freiheit” is a very calm and slow album, no hectic no stress. An album to lay back and relax to. This album is a must have for all Down Below and gothic fans. Go get “Zur Sonne – Zur Freiheit” now.
