Dark Matter makes some Ambient and Dark music. Right now an album called “How Cold Is The Sun” is released
When the sun goes down, dark times are ahead. That is how it is and is exactly what this release is bringing you. But when questioning how cold the sun is, you might get the goosebumps about the idea of it already. Icey space environments come into my head and the reference with what you are hearing is shockingly matching. In eight tracks you are transferred from a dark place to something that has an even sinister look, while on the road you look around and see nothing but emptiness. Creepy and chilly. “Obscured by Clouds” says it all, a track that seems quite light compared with what is awaiting you. Enjoy the little grey area then, because it feels like you are falling in a big black hole when the next one “Something… Like Home” is there. As if you just found out that everything you have owned has been wiped off the earth.
The releases closes with “Psychomachine” which is an absolute conclusion of the whole album. When everything comes together you get into there and then you know exactly how cold the damn sun can be!
